Luxury Home in Malpais is a gorgeous, elegant house tucked into the hills of the paradisiacal Malpais area. The property has incredible 180-degree ocean views, where you can look south towards Cabo Blanco and Marazul cove in Malpais or north down to Santa Teresa, Hermosa and Playa Coyote. You can even watch the surfers out at Playa Carmen. The view is truly spectacular, as enthralling sunsets, star gazing, moon watching and even whale sighting are almost daily events.
This luxury, 6 bedroom 5.5 bathroom house is completely private, while simultaneously being in the heart of Malpais. The iconic namesake beach is only a 2-minute drive away, while the surf is just 3 minutes further down the road.
The house is spread over two floors. Downstairs you have an extremely spacious, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fully-equipped, with a long island and breakfast bar with 6 bar stools. The indoor dining table seats 10 people. There is another, smaller, dining table on the covered terrace. There are three spacious bedrooms, two of which open out onto the ocean view terrace.
Upstairs there is a spectacular 60m2 (646ft2) master bedroom with a king-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe and an expansive ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a large bath and a double shower. There are two more bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bathroom and ocean views. The second floor also has a large covered terrace with lounging areas, perfect for taking in the view and entertaining guests.
The large swimming pool is a gorgeous infinity pool, with spectacular panoramic views, and a jacuzzi for extra relaxation. There is also a palapa area lounge on the upstairs terrace to enjoy morning coffee, and afternoon drinks.
Currently the property is run as a vacation rental home, but would also be a wonderful full or part time family home. It was originally designed for year- round residents, so it offers lots of comforts that vacation rental homes usually don’t get, like great storage, closet space, etc.
The open floor plan of the living area includes a bar, dining area and a large lounge area with satellite TV. The house has AC, but was designed to ventilate with the sea breeze that flows through the valley behind the house, boasting the best of both worlds. Beautiful natural coral tile floors run through the property and continue outside. The five ocean view ensuite bedrooms all come with AC, ceiling fan, writing desk, and private balcony. The master bedroom is a large breezy room with king size bed, beautiful wooden floors, chaise longue, TV, AC, WiFi. The gigantic master bathroom has two walk in showers, his and her sinks, a two person Jacuzzi and a walk-in closet. Outside in the patio and garden there is a 6 person breakfast table, BBQ, infinity pool, pool loungers, 6 person Jacuzzi and an enclosed garden with a kids swing. There is also a carpark which holds up to four cars and a private gated entrance.
